Before you head to the airport, make sure you have all of your Important Documents, your passport, your suitcase, and spending money.

Do not pack your passport in your checked luggage! This may sound ridiculous, but believe me, it has happened before.

Passengers travelling on international flights must arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure.

If you are travelling on a domestic flight first (ex. Halifax to Toronto then Toronto to Cuba) you will only need to arrive to the airport 2 hours prior to the flight departure.

A Breakaway Beach Leader wearing a blue and orange branded uniform will meet you en route to destination. If you have connecting flights, they will meet you for the international flight at the departure gate 1-2 hours prior to departure. If you are on a direct flight they will meet you at the airline check-in counter and will assist you with the check-in process

You will get a customs card and/or a tourist visa on the plane to your destination. For the address you are staying at, you will just put the name of the hotel. When in doubt, feel free to ask the flight attendant or Breakaway Leader on your flight.

On your way home, you can expect that it will take about an hour to collect your luggage and go through customs.

If you have a direct flight, you will need to be picked up at Arrivals.

If you have a connecting flight, you will re-check your luggage and head to your next departure gate. Breakaway Leaders will typically leave the group at this point if they are not scheduled on the next connecting flight.
